Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum

ABOUT 3 weeks ago I talked about the things I would like to do this summer. One of the things was take Muff to the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum.
After I posted about how I wanted to go there I was contacted by them and they sent me 4 passes to get into the museum.



SO today I packed up the Van, and Stacy and I took the three kids down to Ann Arbor. When we got there we had to park in the parking structure that was not even a block down the road. The area is very nice. It felt safe walking with the kids in down town Ann Arbor. When we got to the building the kids were so excited(we did not tell them where we were going) and they kept asking if they could go in there.

INSIDE It was full of color and tons of things to do. The steps going up to the first level even plays music. The kids wanted to do everything all at one time so we just went around in the loop like set up they had

FIRST the water area:






THEN in the next area we made a house out of blocks, looked at a TV that told us what are body temp were(that was cool):







THEN in other areas we played with a whisper thing, a tornado maker, areas to see how strong you were, one of the things that the kids loved was the Ambulance that they could play in:







SOME of the other areas had a old public store, a rock climbing wall, green screen, a bubble thing...You stand in the middle of this circle and you tried to make the bubble go all around your body and a foot piano.





THIS place was so big. There were areas that did stuff with lights, music and so much more. We had such a great time. The people there were so nice. Any questions we had they were more then happy to help us with. This is a great place to take the kids. I'm putting it out there Blog world. This was a great day I took over 85 pics today. It was great fun. The cost is $9.00 for anyone 2 and up and it is a blast

Faster Faster

I have the need for Speed

THIS weekend I needed to get away from my everyday life so I went to Oscoda, MI. Some of the family came up to because it was 4th of July. But I took the time to think about things and to really work on my self.

ONE of the things that I wanted to do this summer was kayaking but with my back I was scared that being on a kayak for 2 hours on the river with no way to get off would not be good.

SO I did something different that I had never done before



THAT'S right I went Jet Skiing. Now I know you are thinking, You would not go Kayaking but Jet skiing was better for your back. Your right I'm a little out of the box. But a lot of times I'm never in the box so it makes sense to me.



SO because I had never been or driven a jet ski Sarah has to give me a lesson, but after that I was hooked. And it did not hurt my back.... I loved it so much and I loved going FAST



I had such a great weekend and I love my new found water toy that I might save up some money to get my own....OH and I even got my dad on it.



IF you have not been able to play on this fun toy you need to try it, and also before the summer is over I'm going to get my butt in a kayak

Back In the Game

MY dear blog readers sorry you did not hear from me over the last week. I have been going throw something personal and I could not bring myself to blog about anything. The dark cloud is passing by and God has really been hugging me and helping me. I don't know where my life's road is going to go but I do know that God will never leave or forsake me and I have peace with things in my life right now.

WITH that said



I have to tell you about the Great concert I took my teens to the other week. Let me start by saying that I'm always looking for great, CHEAP concerts to take my teens to. My dear friend Stacy told me about the $10.00 tickets she found at CVS to see Chris Tomlin and Toby Mac.



WHEN I heard this I was so excited because when I was like 10 or 12 I was in love with the band DC Talk and Toby Mac was in it. I have always been a Toby Mac lover so I was all about going to the Concert. I was also excited because I know I could get kids to go because it was only $10.00.



SO We loaded up the Blimka van and headed to DTE for the concert. When we got there we had to sit on the lawn. That was fun, The kids had blankets and found their spot to watch the concert.





CHRIS Tomlin was Great. He did a lot of Praise and Worship and he put the words to all of the songs on the screen. It was great God was at DTE




AND then it was time for Toby Mac. Oh my goodness he was amazing. and the really cool part was that we were able to move off the grass and into the pavilion. Toby Mac was so great and he came into the crowd it was so cool.



HE sang all of my favorite songs and the best part was when Chris Tomlin and Toby Mac sang Jesus Freak together. I felt like I was 13 at the DC Talk concert again. The kids had a great time and they are ready to go to another concert.
