Did you go to the pole????

See You at the Pole History

A small group of teenagers in Burleson, Texas, came together for a DiscipleNow weekend in early 1990. They came seeking God and little did they know how powerfully He was about to move. On Saturday night their hearts were penetrated like never before, when they became broken before God and burdened for their friends. Compelled to pray, they drove to three different schools that night. Not knowing exactly what to do, they went to the school flagpoles and prayed for their friends, schools, and leaders. Those students had no idea how God would use their obedience.

Today we did the same thing that the teens from Texas did 20 years ago, we prayed around that pole. I was at Brandon High School, TJ went to Goodrich Middle School and Kate went to Brandon Middle School.

It was so cool to see so many teens come out and pray for their school and teachers. And also to have the courage to stand in front of their school and say I'm a Christan and I'm proud to be. The teens of our church are the next generation of the church we need to do our part to teach them about God. I feel so blessed that God has called me into ministry and that I get to do awesome things like going to the pole at my teens school and praying with them....

Please be praying for the teens and the up and coming children. They are the next generation of the church

Funny Face

So today was raining and gray out side. We had a teen garage sale and we did pretty good. I'm trying to get my teens to NYC( Nazarene Youth Conference) next summer. So we have a lot of work on our hands.

When I got home I popped open the laptop and saw my desktop photo of Muff from when we went to Lake Michigan and it made me think back to how much fun that week was. But I also found pics of the funny faces we were making one day when we were in the car. I was think that it is so funny how people make funny faces at the camera and don't ever think anyone is going to see them. So I wanted to share with you some of the funny faces in my life.

I hope they put a smile on your face on this gray day like they did mine....

For all the times I've failed You, Lord
Forgive me
For all the ways I've fallen short
Lord, forgive me now
God, I'm so in need of grace
I fall upon my face
Forgive me

You see the tears fall down my face
Forgive me
Take my fear, Lord, take my shame
Lord, forgive me now
Purify me, make me new
Like only You can do
Forgive me now

Lord, we come to honor You
We are forgiven
We bring our love and thanks to You
We are forgiven now

God we praise You for Your grace
Before You we are raised
God we praise You for Your grace
Before You we are raised

So today I had to be to work at 7am for a Managers meeting. After 3 hours of being told that we can not run a store and that we need to take control of our workers. I went home and had to go back to bed. Hubby called and we meet up for lunch. When I got home I started working on some stuff for the my moms 2 moms sale that I'm doing in Oct,an also trying to get myself pumped to go back to work for my closing shift. So I stated watching.....

that's right Julie and Julia again and that got me thinking. I kind of started this blog back in Jan just to talk about whatever. But right now in my life I feel like I have hit a wall. I don't like my job that I feel like I spend all my life at and I don't know whats going on with my church. I just need something to look forward to in my down time. So I thought I could blog my way throw a Craft book(I hate to cook). So that is my goal for the rest of this week. Find a cool craft book(we know there are tons out there) and craft my way throw it...

Wish me luck. It will not be as big or great as going throw a cookbook but it will be something that will make me happy

{Spectacular Fashion on Sunday}

So with being a plus size girl and working at a high trend fashion store I always get asked about my cloths and where I get them. So I thought that on Sundays I would take a pic of what I look like and tell you where I got everything.

I have to tell you I have always loved Fashion. I love things from the 30s, 40s, Boho, and cardigans. I can not live without a cardigan. Hubby calls them my old lady sweaters but I'm ok with that.

I hope this helps all you plus size girls know that just because you are not a 4 you can look cute...

Sorry the pic is not great I will work on it..

Liquites Basics

I LOVE Liquitex Basics Acrylic paint.

About 3 years ago hubby bought me my very first set of 36 colors and it was love at first paint. I love how the paint was not to thick and not to thin but just right. With 36 colors I was able to mix any color I wanted....

I also love how I can put a dot of paint on my mixing plate, add water and the Acrylic paint looks like watercolors on the canvas.

Last Christmas hubby got me the 48 pack and I was so excited. I can not tell you how great Liquites products are. I use them for all of my painting.

I'm hoping to get more of their products soon. When I do I will let you know how they work. If you are looking for new paint to buy for your next painting try Liquites Basics its great...You will not be sad

Painting is a blind man's profession. He paints not what he sees, but what he feels, what he tells himself about what he has seen.
